oHere are some pictures of the final piece.  I'm not entirely happy with how the base turned out.  It could use some more color on the base for one.  I used this piece to test my ruined fieldstone blocks (Available in Round 4 of the Community Mold Project) and I thought since it was already a test piece I'd test some different vine techniques using Parsley and Oregano.  I like the colors that came out but the vines just don't look right to me.  Next time I'll try a thicker vine stem or something.

A close up of some debris that has gathered in the back of the ruin.

A close up of one of the vine tests.  It was done by running a bead of
glue up the ruin then sprinkling Parsley on the glue.  It looks ok in
pictures but it's really kind of flat and doesn't give me the depth I was
looking for.
Here's another vine test I did.  This one used a piece of thread as the
vine stem.  The thread was covered in PVA glue then rolled in a mix
of Parsley and Oregano for the leaves.  It has much better depth than
the first vine, but it's kind of skinny and the leaves didn't get spread
evenly along the thread and tended to fall off even after spraying it
with watered down PVA glue or Dullcote.
This is a second vine made with the thread technique.  This one turned
out better than the first attempt but it's still kind of skinny for my
tastes.  I'm convinced that this technique is feasible I just need to
use bigger string for the vine stem.

This is a WIP ruined fieldstone tower that shows my ruined fieldstone pieces in a tower.
It started out as a CD ruin but I didn't have enough room around the base to put much in the way of terrain around it.  I also wanted to sink it into the ground like it had been there awhile and that wasn't easy on a CD so I started a base of foam.
Some of the pieces around the doorway are straight pieces turned on their side.
