This is the page for my restoration project on my 1964 Galaxie 500.  This was my first car at 16 and I've kept it around ever since.  Several years ago it had some mechanical problems and I parked it until I had time to restore it.  Well, that time has come.  So far about all I've done is put it in my garage but I'm working on getting it running.

Worked on getting the car to run.  It had about 10 gallons of gas in the tank that was completely bad and I had to drain it.
The fuel pump was bad and had to be replaced and I'll have to order a new sending unit for the fuel tank as the old one is gummed up.
The car actually runs as long as I pour gas down the carburetor which is quite impressive for as long as it's been sitting.

I rebuilt the carburetor but I didn't notice that some of the internal channels that the gas flows through was clogged up with crap, probably from all that old gas that was in the car.  I've pulled the carburetor and I'll let it soak in a cleaning solution for a few days then try again.
